FIRE STATION APPARATUS RAMP REPLACEMENT


Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS (AMFEMS) is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified and experienced contractors for the

Fire Station Apparatus Ramp Replacement, Project No. 31-26-1.


The project consists generally of the demolition and replacement of approximately 7,400 square feet of existing reinforced concrete apparatus ramp pavement serving six (6) fire apparatus bays, together with associated subgrade preparation, base installation, reinforcing steel, concrete pavement, joints, drainage improvements, restoration, and related work. The completed apparatus ramp shall be designed and constructed to accommodate repeated loading from emergency vehicles having a maximum gross vehicle weight of 80,000 pounds.


The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, licenses, inspections, approvals, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, restoration, and other incidentals necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents.


The Contractor shall also be responsible for providing a proposed construction phasing and staging plan that maintains a minimum of three (3) apparatus bays operational at all times during construction, subject to approval by AMFEMS.


The successful Contractor will be required to furnish a 5% Proposal/Bid Bond, and the successful Contractor shall furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and insurance as specified in the RFP.

Site Inspections: A formal pre-proposal meeting will not be held. Proposers are strongly encouraged to inspect the project site prior to submitting a proposal. Site inspections shall be conducted by appointment only and must be coordinated with the District's designated representative.


Questions: All questions concerning the RFP must be submitted in writing to RFP@amfems.org no later than 12:00 PM (Noon) on September 1, 2026. Only written responses issued by AMFEMS through an addendum shall be binding.


Proposal Deadline: Proposals must be received no later than:

12:00 PM (Noon), September 11, 2026


Proposals may be submitted in accordance with the delivery instructions contained in the RFP. Late proposals will not be accepted.

Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria established in the RFP, including qualifications and relevant experience, proposed methodology and phasing/staging plan, project schedule, cost, references, and completeness of proposal.


AMFEMS reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive minor informalities or irregularities, request clarification or additional information, negotiate with the highest-ranked proposer as permitted by the procurement documents, and award the contract in the best interest of the Fire District.


AMFEMS shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by proposers in preparing or submitting proposals.

 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM INSTALLATION


Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS (AMFEMS) is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified fire sprinkler contractors for the design, permitting, furnishing, and installation of a complete automatic fire sprinkler system at Station 34, located at 1400 Evergreen Road, Anchorage, Kentucky 40223.


The project consists of the complete design and installation of a wet-pipe automatic fire sprinkler system within an existing occupied fire station. Work includes engineering, hydraulic calculations, permitting, water supply evaluation, sprinkler piping and appurtenances, fire department connection, backflow prevention, fire alarm interface, testing, commissioning, owner training, restoration of disturbed finishes, and all labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work necessary to provide a complete and operational system.


A pre-proposal site visit may be scheduled. Contractors are strongly encouraged to inspect the project site prior to submitting a proposal.


Proposals will be accepted until 12:00 Noon (Local Time) on September 18, 2026.

APPARATUS RAMP REPLACEMENT


Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the demolition, design, and replacement of the existing apparatus ramp at Anchorage Station 34, located at 1400 Evergreen Road, Anchorage, Kentucky 40223.


The project consists of the complete removal and replacement of approximately 3,400 square feet of heavy-duty fire station apparatus apron/ramp serving an active two-bay fire station. The successful contractor shall provide a turnkey project including demolition, design, construction, drainage improvements, restoration, and all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work.


The proposed ramp shall be designed to support repeated loading of modern fire apparatus with a minimum design capacity of 80,000 pounds GVWR while maintaining emergency response operations throughout construction. At least one apparatus bay must remain operational at all times during the project.


Proposals shall be accepted until 12:00 Noon (Eastern Time), Friday, August 14, 2026. Late proposals may not be considered.
