Community Risk Reduction

Picture
The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) defines Community Risk Reduction (CRR) as the process of identifying and prioritizing risks, selecting and implementing strategies, monitoring and evaluating activities, and involving community partners, all in an effort to better protect residents and firefighters (NFPA 1300).
The Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS Community Risk Reduction Program has 2 components: Home Safety Visits and Public Education Programming.

Home Safety Visits
An important component of Community Risk Reduction is the home safety visit.  Most injuries and deaths occur in residential settings and our goal is to reduce these from occurring in your home.  Our trained staff can provide fire/life safety information and feedback specific to your residence.  Use the link to the left to schedule a time for us to come visit you.
